N.1 Anime review - Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso Episode 5

Hello! This is my first review ever, please be gentle.
This episode of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso starts with a flashback at the bridge above the river from Kousei, Tsubaki and Watari's childhood. Then it shifts to to the hospital room in which Kaori is being hospitalized after she fainted at the violin competition. Here Kousei asks Kaori a question that immediately sounds like a lie.
We can already see in the background the bad weather that seems to have an important meaning through the episode.

Before Kousei leaves Kaori's room, she asks him "Do you think you'll be able to forget?" referring to what they felt after they finished their performance at the competition. This question will be repeated several times.
After the trio leaves the room and goes out of the hospital, Watari starts to talk to some random girl on his phone and Kousei tells Tsubaki that he doesn't have any other quality other than being able to play the piano and she tries to find some other qualities of his, but ends up not having any ideas and randomly point out to the sky.
I'm not sure about what this actually means, it might be what Kousei is for Kaori or viceversa. It might also be referred to Tsubaki but I don't know about that.
Then we have our confirmation that Kaori didn't faint for the first time but it actually happened more than once.

On the second half of the episode we shift to Tsubaki's point of view. One of her friends tells her that her eyes seem cloudy (see, once again the weather has an important meaning) and she doesn't feel like the usual Tsubaki lately. Then the two friends meet an old senpai of theirs, which apparently was Tsubaki's crush from some time ago. But, when the senpai confesses to her she doesn't seem to feel anything anymore for him, and she starts to wonder why. She also says that if he confessed to her back then her heart would have been "sparkling like a starry sky in winter"
Here it is once again the sky.
Unfortunately this makes me think that there will be a love triangle between Kousei, Kaori and Tsubaki later on. I was so happy when in episode 2 (i think?) Tsubaki said that Kousei was like a brother to her and so she destroyed any possibility of a love triangle. Aaah, what can you do to avoid these kind of clichés. Also I felt bad for the senpai, he looked like a lovable character.

Then we go back to Kousei and Kaori, who meet on the bridge that we have seen in the flashback at the beginning of the episode. In this scene Kousei says that he aspires to be like Kaori and he gives us the answer to the question "Do you think you'll be able to forget?" that, as I said before, was repeated several times.

Loved the animation here

The episode ends with a shot of the sky above the two.

Because I'm a musician...
Overall, this was a great episode. The atmosphere in my opinion changed a lot from the previous episodes where there were permanent pastel colors all over the place. This one was a bit darker.
As always, this anime makes me feel like I'm watching a novel, it's very artistic and beautiful.
